中南民族大學(xué)是直屬于國(guó)家民族事務(wù)委員會(huì)的綜合性普通高等學(xué)校,國(guó)家民族事務(wù)委員會(huì)、教育部、湖北省、武漢市共建高校,坐落于白云黃鶴的故鄉(xiāng)——武漢南湖之濱。學(xué)校創(chuàng)建于1951年,是新中國(guó)成立后最早建立的民族高校之一。建校以來(lái),學(xué)校始終堅(jiān)持社會(huì)主義辦學(xué)方向,貫徹落實(shí)黨的教育方針和民族政策,以鑄牢中華民族共同體意識(shí)為主線(xiàn),以立德樹(shù)人為根本任務(wù),各項(xiàng)事業(yè)獲得了快速發(fā)展。
學(xué)校占地1550余畝,校舍面積110萬(wàn)余平米。校園內(nèi)綠樹(shù)成蔭、花香四季,具有濃郁民族特色的現(xiàn)代建筑鱗次櫛比,湖光山色與人文景觀(guān)交相輝映,構(gòu)成了教學(xué)、科研和生活的優(yōu)美環(huán)境。

學(xué)校影響不斷擴(kuò)大。2012年,學(xué)校獲批國(guó)家級(jí)教師教學(xué)發(fā)展示范中心,是非“985”“211”高校中唯一獲批單位;2001年、2006年、2016年,連續(xù)三次在教育部本科教學(xué)水平評(píng)估中成績(jī)優(yōu)異。2017年8月,獲評(píng)“全國(guó)創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)教育深化改革示范高?!?。2017年9月,學(xué)校人才培養(yǎng)成果入選中共中央宣傳部等部門(mén)主辦的“砥礪奮進(jìn)的五年”大型成就展。建校以來(lái),累計(jì)培養(yǎng)了17萬(wàn)余名高素質(zhì)人才。近年來(lái),學(xué)校承擔(dān)扶持人口較少民族發(fā)展“十三五”規(guī)劃編制工作,利用自身科研優(yōu)勢(shì)建設(shè)多個(gè)服務(wù)民族地區(qū)產(chǎn)業(yè)發(fā)展平臺(tái),推進(jìn)國(guó)家民委派駐武陵山片區(qū)聯(lián)絡(luò)員、“1221”精準(zhǔn)扶貧工作、駐村扶貧工作隊(duì)、“616”對(duì)口支援長(zhǎng)陽(yáng)縣、對(duì)口支援三峽庫(kù)區(qū)移民工程、定點(diǎn)幫扶恩施市基礎(chǔ)教育、博士服務(wù)團(tuán)、“三萬(wàn)”活動(dòng)、科技副縣長(zhǎng)、基層高質(zhì)量發(fā)展專(zhuān)才支持計(jì)劃等工程,累計(jì)派出干部、教師144人次,投入各類(lèi)扶貧專(zhuān)項(xiàng)資金5000余萬(wàn)元,先后與恩施州、銅仁市、張家界市、湘西州、懷化市、黔西南州等簽訂戰(zhàn)略合作協(xié)議,全面加強(qiáng)與武陵山片區(qū)、巴林右旗、德??h、樂(lè)安縣等地區(qū)在人才培養(yǎng)、智庫(kù)服務(wù)、科學(xué)研究與成果轉(zhuǎn)化、文化建設(shè)、農(nóng)產(chǎn)品銷(xiāo)售渠道拓展等領(lǐng)域的深度合作。學(xué)校與境外50余所大學(xué)建立了校際交流與合作關(guān)系,與武漢大學(xué)、重慶大學(xué)等數(shù)十家國(guó)內(nèi)高校開(kāi)展聯(lián)合培養(yǎng)、互訪(fǎng)互學(xué)等深度合作。

University Profile
South-Central Minzu University is a comprehensive university directly under the management of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission. Located on the shore of the South Lake in Wuhan, home to the “White Clouds and Yellow Cranes”, it is also an institution of higher learning jointly built by the State Ethnics Affairs Commission, the Ministry of Education, provincial government in Hubei and municipal government in Wuhan city. Founded in 1951, SCMZU is one of the earliest universities for nationalities established since the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Since its establishment, SCMZU has been unwavering in following the socialist path of education and implementing the Party’s policies on education and ethnic affairs. It has achieved rapid and overall development by focusing on forging a sense of the Chinese national community and taking morality and virtue education as the cornerstone.
The university covers an area of over 1,550 mu and boasts a building area of more than one million square meters. It has a beautiful campus where leafy trees abound and flowers give out fragrances all year around; the campus also features tidily arranged modern buildings with ethnic characteristics. Here the landscape and cultural attractions complement each other, making the campus an ideal place for teaching, learning, scientific research, and living.
The university has laid down a solid foundation for education. Currently there are 29,000 students from all 56 ethnic groups in China, including full-time preparatory students, undergraduates, master’s students, and doctoral students. There are also four doctoral programs in first-level disciplines; 25 academic master programs in first-level disciplines, 23 professional master programs, and 77 undergraduate programs, covering 10 major disciplines.
There are 52 designated first-class undergraduate programs (24 of which are national programs). With its environmental engineering program and computer science & technology program obtaining the professional certifications for engineering education, the university has been granted four national “new engineering” programs, five “new agricultural” programs, and four “new humanities” programs. And there are 15 national first-class undergraduate courses and two ministerial-level ideological and political theory demonstration courses. In January 2018, the university was listed in the “Universities to Be Developed as National First-Class Institutions of Higher Learning” in Hubei Province, with its three disciplines of ethnology, chemistry, and pharmaceutical sciences recognized as “national first-class discipline development programs”. In 2017, the discipline of ethnology was approved as an A-category discipline in the discipline appraisal by the Ministry of Education; its three disciplines of chemistry, engineering, and material science were placed among the top 1% on the ESI rankings. The number of faculty and staff is more than 2,200, including more than 1,400 teachers for all majors, while 60% of the full-time teachers are PhDs. Having a team of Huang Danian-type teachers, who are with high-quality and innovation-driven professionals, it has brought in and cultivated a bunch of top talents such as the “national outstanding youths”, “national excellent youths”, and teachers included in the national “10,000 talent initiative”. In the recent five years, the university was granted 301 national scientific research projects, 36 of which are major projects; with 815 CSSCI papers, 1976 SCI papers and 279 high-level academic monographs published, the university was granted 498 invention patents and won 122 provincial/ministerial-level prizes and awards; it specified one international standard for mugwort, a Chinese medicinal herb; its Institute of Hubei Comprehensive Moderately Prosperous Society Development was accepted into the China core think tank for the year 2017, while it completed its “National Tech Enterprise Incubator” and its national demonstration base for national “Internet + Chinese Civilization”. The university was ranked 86th in terms of quantities of published CSSCI papers in 2019; its natural index was ranked at 124th place in 2020; the humanity and social science edition and natural sciences edition of its journal were both listed as A class for the RCCSE China Core Academic Journal.
The influence of the university has kept increasing over time. In 2012, the university was designated as a national demonstration center for teacher development; in 2001, 2006, and 2016 respectively, it obtained top grades in the appraisal of the undergraduate education level by the Ministry of Education. In August 2017, it was honored as “National Demonstration University for deepening reform in innovation-driven and entrepreneurship-oriented Education”. In September 2017, its achievements in talent development were selected into the major exhibition of achievements “Five Years of Sheer Endeavor”. Since the foundation of the university, more than 170,000 high-level talents were produced accumulatively. In recent years, the compilation of the 13th Five-Year Plan has been undertaking for the development of ethnic groups with small populations; by making use of its advantages in scientific research, multiple industrial development platforms have been built for minority regions; it promoted “Ten Important Projects”, which included the appointment of liaison officer in Mount Wuling area dispatched by State Ethnic Affairs Commission;“1221”targeted poverty alleviation program; village-stationed poverty alleviation working team; ”616” Changyang County-specific Support; Three Gorges Reservoir Area Migration Project-specific support; specific assistance for basic education in Enshi City; PhD service corps; “three 10,000” projects which are rural development activities carried out by Hubei Provincial Committee of CPC and Hubei provincial government; deputy chief of county in charge of science and technology; support plan for developing high-quality grassroots-level talents. A total of 144 cadres and teachers have been dispatched for these efforts and more than RMB50 million has been invested in various special poverty-alleviation funds. Strategic partnership agreements have been signed between the university and Enshi Prefecture, Tongren City, Zhangjiajie City, Xiangxi Prefecture, Huaihua City, and Qianxinan Prefecture. Deep cooperation has also been enhanced between the university and the Mount Wuling area, Bairin Right Banner, Debao County, Le’an County, and others in terms of talent development, think tank service, scientific research and the commercialization of research achievements, cultural promotion, and the expansion of farm products sales channels. It established relationships of exchanges and cooperation with more than 50 universities overseas, while having deep cooperation with dozens of domestic universities such as Wuhan University and Chongqing University by a way of joint development, exchanges, and mutual visits.
The university has made impressive achievements in morality and virtue education for its students. It has studied and implemented the key message of the Party’s 19th national congress and consistently implemented the key messages of the CCP Central Committee ethnic work meeting, national ethnic unity and progress award-presenting conference, national conference on ideological and political work in universities, national educational conference, and so forth. Centered on the theme of “Chinese Nation as Family, Working in Unison Toward Chinese Dream”, it has worked hard on education in “Five Identities”, thus winning such honors as “Exemplary Institution for National Unity and Progress”, “Exemplary Group for National Unity and Progress”, and “Demonstration University for Building Activities of National Unity and Progress Across China”. For many times its CPC Committee has been honored as “Exemplary Institution in Party Building Work”, “Exemplary Party Committee Central Team”, and “Exemplary Grassroots Party Cell” by the CPC Committee of Hubei Province. For 19 consecutive years, it has been honored as the Most Civilized Institution of Hubei Province; for many years in a row, it has won the university campus cultural promotion achievement from the Ministry of Education and Hubei Provincial Department of Education; from it came a large number of excellent teachers and students, who have earned honors such as “National Exemplary Teacher”, “National Role Model in Morality and Virtue as Teacher”, “Top Ten Head Teacher of Hubei Province”, “Chinese University Student of the Year”, and “Chinese University Student Self-reliance Star”.
In this new era, the university embarks on a new journey. Guided by Xi Jinping’s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new age, the university will seriously study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thought on strengthening and improving work involving ethnic affairs and his important views on educations. Seizing the opportunities available at this new stage of development, it will practice the new development philosophy. It will get aligned to the state’s strategy and serve local socioeconomic development. It will focus on forging a sense of the Chinese national community and take morality and virtue education as the cornerstone; by meeting the “Four Services” educational requirements, it will make great efforts to implement the strategy of “Built on Quality, Prospering from Disciplines, Strengthened through Talents, Honored for Characteristics”. 學(xué)院現(xiàn)有專(zhuān)職教師47人,其中教授8人,副教授9人,碩士生導(dǎo)師17人,博士生導(dǎo)師1人,外聘兼職博士生導(dǎo)師1人,先后聘任80余位國(guó)內(nèi)外著名音樂(lè)舞蹈教育家、表演藝術(shù)家為特聘教授或客座教授?,F(xiàn)有1門(mén)國(guó)家級(jí)一流本科課程,7門(mén)省級(jí)一流本科課程、2個(gè)湖北省名師工作室以及長(zhǎng)江藝術(shù)研究院、湖北省文藝評(píng)論基地等多個(gè)省部級(jí)教學(xué)、科研平臺(tái)。音樂(lè)舞蹈綜合培養(yǎng)課程組獲批湖北省優(yōu)秀基層教學(xué)組織,藝術(shù)思政教學(xué)團(tuán)隊(duì)入選湖北省課程思政教學(xué)研究示范中心。
學(xué)院教學(xué)設(shè)施齊全,條件一流。擁有25000余平方米的音樂(lè)舞蹈教學(xué)大樓,舞蹈專(zhuān)業(yè)教室12間,學(xué)生琴房112間,教師琴房40間,還有設(shè)施一流的光谷音樂(lè)廳、多媒體教室、計(jì)算機(jī)音樂(lè)教室、數(shù)碼鋼琴教室、合唱排練廳、民樂(lè)排練廳、管弦樂(lè)排練廳、成果展覽室等。學(xué)院與中央民族歌舞團(tuán)、湖北省演藝集團(tuán)、湖北省民族歌舞團(tuán)、湖北歌劇舞劇院、湖北第二師范學(xué)院藝術(shù)學(xué)院等機(jī)構(gòu)簽訂了戰(zhàn)略合作框架協(xié)議,共建立26個(gè)學(xué)生實(shí)習(xí)實(shí)踐基地。
近年來(lái),學(xué)院教師主持國(guó)家社科基金項(xiàng)目3項(xiàng)、國(guó)家社科基金藝術(shù)學(xué)重大項(xiàng)目子課題1項(xiàng)、國(guó)家藝術(shù)基金項(xiàng)目8項(xiàng)、省部級(jí)科研項(xiàng)目10余項(xiàng),出版專(zhuān)著和教材20余部,發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文100余篇。另外,學(xué)院師生在“桃李杯”、“荷花獎(jiǎng)”、“金鐘獎(jiǎng)”、“全國(guó)大學(xué)生藝術(shù)展演”、“金鳳杯”、“金編鐘”等大型專(zhuān)業(yè)賽事中屢獲大獎(jiǎng)。受?chē)?guó)家漢辦委派,2013年至2019年間先后赴10余個(gè)國(guó)家70多所高校的孔子學(xué)院巡演,2018年至2024年先后5次參加中央電視臺(tái)春節(jié)聯(lián)歡晚會(huì),3次參加中央電視臺(tái)“五月的鮮花”文藝匯演,并參演了第五屆和第六屆全國(guó)少數(shù)民族文藝匯演、第七屆世界軍人運(yùn)動(dòng)會(huì)開(kāi)幕式、中央電視臺(tái)“百年禮贊——慶祝中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨成立100周年大型交響音詩(shī)畫(huà)”獻(xiàn)禮文藝晚會(huì)、湖北省“壯麗航程 荊楚頌歌——慶祝中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨成立100周年大型文藝晚會(huì)”等,充分展示了學(xué)院辦學(xué)實(shí)力和良好形象。近五年學(xué)生平均畢業(yè)去向落實(shí)率穩(wěn)定在95%以上。
Introduction to School of Music and Dance
The Music and Dance Academy was established in 2010 and currently holds a second-level doctoral degree authorization in Chinese ethnic arts, as well as Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree authorization in music and dance fields. It offers undergraduate programs in music, dance, and dance performance. Adhering to the motto of "Cultivating Virtue and Artistry, Striving for Excellence," the academy considers moral education and character building as its fundamental mission. With a focus on discipline and professional development, the academy is dedicated to nurturing innovative, versatile, and practical talents.
The academy has appointed distinguished professors such as Ma Shengde, Park Yong-gwang, Fang Shi, Wu Yuxia, Liu Lian, Huang Baiquan, Zhang Junren, Li Youping, as well as part-time professors including Ciren Sangmu, Danzhou DuoJie, Jiang Tiehong, Wang Haifeng. Visiting professors like Qubi Awu, Mei Changsheng, Luo Danqing contribute their intelligence and experience periodically. Renowned educators and artists are also invited to the academy for lectures.
The teaching facilities of the academy are well-equipped, encompassing a music and dance teaching building with an area over 25,000 square meters. It includes one professional music hall, 11 dance rehearsal halls, 112 student piano-practice rooms, 40 teacher piano-practice rooms, as well as multimedia classrooms, computerized music classrooms, digital piano classrooms, choir rehearsal halls, traditional music rehearsal halls, orchestral rehearsal halls, costume and props rooms, and exhibition rooms. The academy has signed talent training cooperation agreements with organizations such as the Central National Song and Dance Ensemble and the Hubei Provincial National Song and Dance Ensemble, and established 21 student internship bases.
Emphasizing teaching quality as the foundation, the academy continually refines its teaching systems, separates evaluation from teaching assessment, implements early morning practice sessions, and adopts an open class system for young teachers. In 2020, the music and dance performance majors were awarded provincial-level first-class professional construction points. In 2022, the music major received approval as a national first-class undergraduate professional construction point. In 2024, the course "Art and Ideology" was approved as a national first-class undergraduate course. The comprehensive talent development course team in music and dance was recognized as an excellent grassroots teaching organization at the provincial level, and the "Art and Ideology" course team Art and Ideology course team was selected as a demonstration center for curriculum and ideology teaching research in Hubei Province.
In terms of research, the academy focuses on high-quality research output and has achieved a series of results. In recent years, academy teachers have led one National Social Science Fund project, one sub-project of the National Social Science Fund Art Major Project, eight projects from the National Art Fund, and more than ten projects at the provincial and ministerial levels. They have also published over 20 monographs and textbooks and presented over a hundred academic papers.
For seven consecutive years, the academy has been dispatched by the Confucius Institute Headquarters to more than 70 Confucius Institutes in over 10 countries for touring performances. It has participated in five editions of the CCTV "Spring Festival Gala," as well as events such as the CCTV "May Flowers - National University Arts Festival," "Chinese Folk Song Gala," "Centennial Praise - Large-scale Symphonic Poetry and Painting Tribute to the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China," "Celebrating the 19th National Congress" special program, Macau Spring Festival Arts Tour, the opening ceremony of the 7th World Military Games, and the artistic performance of Hubei Province celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party, totaling more than 20 large-scale cultural events. Additionally, the academy's faculty and students have won numerous awards in professional competitions such as the "Taoli Cup," "Lotus Award," "Golden Bell Award," "National University Student Art Exhibition," "International Youth Art Festival," "Golden Phoenix Cup," "Golden Bianzhong," and so on.

Cultivation Objective 1: Moral and Artistic, Love of Work and Dedication. 一、培養(yǎng)規(guī)格
Ⅰ Cultivation Standards
立足中南地區(qū),面向全國(guó),以習(xí)近平新時(shí)代中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義思想為指導(dǎo),以鑄牢中華民族共同體意識(shí)為主線(xiàn),以弘揚(yáng)和傳承中華優(yōu)秀舞蹈文化為內(nèi)涵,通過(guò)全面、系統(tǒng)的專(zhuān)業(yè)學(xué)習(xí),使學(xué)生熟練掌握舞蹈理論與專(zhuān)業(yè)技能,具備良好的舞蹈綜合素質(zhì)、舞蹈編創(chuàng)和藝術(shù)創(chuàng)新能力。培養(yǎng)德才兼?zhèn)洳⒛茉谒囆g(shù)表演劇團(tuán)、企事業(yè)單位、高等藝術(shù)院校、普通類(lèi)中小學(xué)、文化機(jī)關(guān)從事舞蹈理論與編創(chuàng)的復(fù)合型人才。
Based in the central and southern regions, facing the whole country, the program follows Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era , and aims to strengthen the awareness of the Chinese national community. Our objective is to inherit and promote the cultural heritage of Chinese ethnic folk dance. Through comprehensive and systematic professional learning, students will become proficient in dance theory and professional skills. They will acquire a good overall quality of dance and highlight their abilities in the practical application of dance creation and artistic innovation. Our goal is to cultivate individuals who possess both moral integrity and talent, capable of engaging in dance theory and creation at art performance troupes, enterprises and institutions, higher art academies, general primary and secondary schools, and cultural organizations.

Cultivation Objective 1: Moral and Artistic, Love of Work and Dedication. Upholding the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the students should forge a sense of Chinese national community as the main theme, inherit and promote the Chinese ethnic folk dance culture as the objective. Meanwhile, they should also practice the core socialist values, implement the cultural and educational policies of the Party and the Nation, love the Chinese dance culture, love the dance industry with a sense of social responsibility, dedication, a humanistic background, scientific spirit and professionalism.

Cultivation Objective 2: Academic Enrichment and Outstanding Competence. Students will be equipped with basic theoretical literacy, a core knowledge system, professional skills in dance studies, and the ability to perform, teach, compose and apply dance in a comprehensive manner.

Cultivation Objective 3: Good at Cooperation and Innovation. Students will be equipped with a good sense of communication and cooperation, teamwork spirit, reflection and critical thinking, a sense of creativity and innovation, as well as artistic practice, literary criticism and event planning skills.

1. Professional Standard: Our students should consciously practice the core socialist values, love the motherland, support the leadership of the Party, and adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era. Meanwhile, they should also implement the Party's education policy, love their own work and have the professionalism of an artist.
2.理論素養(yǎng):系統(tǒng)掌握舞蹈專(zhuān)業(yè)的核心知識(shí)體系和相關(guān)學(xué)科領(lǐng)域基本知識(shí),運(yùn)用舞蹈理論與方法,初步具備對(duì)舞蹈資料的收集、整理、分析、研究與闡釋能力。
2. Theoretical Quality: Our students should have systematic mastery of the core knowledge of the dance major and basic knowledge of related subjects, application of dance theories and methods, preliminary ability to collect, collate, analyze, research and interpret dancing materials.
3.專(zhuān)業(yè)能力:具備較高水平的舞蹈編創(chuàng)與教學(xué)能力,熟練掌握舞蹈編創(chuàng)技法,具有良好的舞蹈鑒賞和評(píng)論的能力,傳承中華優(yōu)秀文化,將所學(xué)專(zhuān)業(yè)技能運(yùn)用到實(shí)際工作環(huán)境中,適應(yīng)不同的工作場(chǎng)景和任務(wù)需求。
3. Professional Competence: Our students will have good skills and ability in dance choreography, teaching, appreciation and remarking. They should also master the techniques of dance choreography well and apply their professional techniques to adapt to different work and to inherit the excellent Chinese culture.

Comprehensive Expansion: Our students should bear the ability to integrate music and dance across borders, the ability to express and communicate effectively in language, the ability to comment on art and communicate in a pluralistic manner. They should also possess a vision of interdisciplinary learning and be able to think outside the box in different subjects, explore and use dancing resources, innovate dancing expressions and realize the fusion of dance arts with the times.

Based in the central and southern regions, facing the whole country, the program follows Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era , and aims to strengthen the awareness of the Chinese national community. Our objective is to promote excellent Chinese music culture, serve the social development of the country and ethnic regions, and cultivate composite talents who are competent to work in music education, music performance and cultural inheritance.

1. Professional Standard: Our students should consciously practice the core socialist values, love the motherland, support the leadership of the Party, and adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, meanwhile they should implement the Party's education policy, love their own work and have the professionalism of an artist.
